John, I cannot believe you would write such lies about Nixon and Kennedy! I subscribe to NO political philosophies because I believe, as my old college buddy used to say, "We have Socialist Party A and Socialist Party B, so who ya gonna vote for?" The proof that I subscribe to NO political party or philosophy is evident in that I consider we had ONLY two great presidents during the entire 20th century, Kennedy, a democrat, and Reagan, a republican. I do not uphold these presidents for their political affiliations but, rather, for who they were and what they did.
I will not rebut your entire article, point by point, as I truly could do, But, I will mention a few highlights. First, if having mistresses makes a president bad or immoral, then we will have to throw out George Washington and numerous others of the early presidents, as having mistresses was part of Southern culture in those days. I am not commenting as to its morality. I am only pointing out that many of our great presidents of yonder year had mistresses. That has nothing to do with their official accomplishments.
Secondly, it is a LIE that Kennedy started Vietnam. Eisenhower started it. Kennedy was planning to shut it down. The very day of Kennedy's death, immediately after LBJ was sworn in, he accelerated the war while still aboard Air Force One. And, Nixon ONLY ended the Vietnam war out of public pressure (it was such an unpopular war that Nixon had no choice but to end it -- but he wouldn't have otherwise and he did it in a disgraceful manner). Kennedy did not create a missile crisis BUT, rather, averted a possible third world war!
Moreover, it has been documented that Nixon undoubtedly had a part in planning Kennedy's assassination (perhaps as revenge for losing the election), along with LBJ and Daddy Bush. (They were seen leaving a meeting together on the eve of the assassination and LBJ was overheard making a very suspicious comment which incriminated all three of them.) Also, it is not to Nixon's credit that Clinton sought his advice as Clinton, in my opinion, is in the same Nazi camp as the Bushes. If Clinton sought Nixon's advice, then that places Nixon in the very same Nazi camp as the Clintons and the Bushes!
Was Kennedy perfect?... Of course not. Was Nixon all bad?... Of course not. But, it was Kennedy who was the hero and Nixon was "Tricky Dick" (and if he truly did help plot the assassination, then he was also an accomplice to murder)! Kennedy probably started the initial momentum which has led to the changes that we are now on the verge of, while Reagan (along with Ambassador Wanta) picked up what Kennedy was unable to finish; and, because of the great work of these two great men, we had the foundations which have made possible the imminent changes that we are expecting today. Kennedy gave his very life for those convictions and his official deeds to restore the Constitutional Republic. Reagan came very close to losing his life as well, for the same reason.
Yes! Many many others have worked for, and even given their lives (like Kennedy) for this cause, but Kennedy and Reagan made it all possible. They laid the groundwork and were the two 20th century heroes who tried their very best to undo the FDR regime and return us once again to Constitutional law. In my opinion, you have committed blasphemy and treason in what you have said about Kennedy!
Let us also not lose sight of the overarching truth. I agree with most of the above, except to note that Kennedy did create the Cuban missile crisis. Kennedy placed missiles in Turkey, very near Russia. In retaliation, Russia decided to place missiles in Cuba, very near the US. This caused Kennedy to back down and withdraw the missiles from Turkey. So the Russians then recalled their missiles headed toward Cuba. To hide this failure from the American public, Kennedy staged it as a great bluff. Just goes to show "All the world's a stage..."
Can you endorse political figures you don't really know ? Every US president is related but one. Does this seem right ? If so , it could not be accidental, it was planned. Can you recall when ANY government actually helped the average guy ? Me neither. I think none of them would stand close scrutiny, it's a bloodline thing, not a ' good ruler ' thing. I may stand corrected as to the missile thing. I can't say with certainty whether Kennedy instigated it as you say. But, even Jackie herself has told how her husband was very sober during the entire crisis and pondered very seriously how to avoid world war three. That was the main point I was trying to make.
